A 16 year old boy has been charged as an adult for the sexual assault of a woman earlier this month. The boy is facing four counts of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping.

According to police, the boy grabbed a woman at a bus stop on the west side and forced her into an abandoned home where he sexually assaulted her. Because of the severity of the crime, he will be tried as an adult.

On Monday, three men were sentenced to serve jail time for a gang initiation. One man will serve 2 to 7 years for voluntary manslaughter, another will serve 15 month to 5 years for negligent disregard to others and the third will serve 14 months to 3 years for performance of an act with negligent disregard for safety.

The three men were indicated in the death of a 21 year old man who was being initiated into a gang. The man allowed other gang members to punch and kick him for 13 seconds. One of the kicks hit him in the head, causing his death.

On Tuesday, a Las Vegas man pleaded guilty to second degree murder by child neglect. The original charge brought against him was for first degree murder by child abuse.

The charges stem from the man's role in the 2005 death of a 3 year old. The man was caring for the child when he fell ill. The man then drove the toddler to his mother's office rather than the hospital. The child later died at the hospital from a severe blow to his abdomen.

Two police officers and another man were arrested Saturday night at a park. According to Clark County Park Police, they spotted the three men in a van at Desert Breeze Park shortly before the bust.

The men are facing several charges that include possession of marijuana. However, reports did not say what the men were doing in the van or whether or not a transaction was taking place.

A man was arrested at Paradise Park for suspicion of selling drugs. Police approached the man when they noticed that he was illegally parked. He then became aggressive and the police found more than 50 balloons full of drugs in the passenger seat.

Police believe that the drugs are crack cocaine and some heroine. There was also paraphernalia and evidence of transactions. The man has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking.

On Monday night, police found the body of a 65 year old woman in her apartment on Deer Springs Rd. In a statement, they said that the woman suffered injuries that indicated homicide.

A 62 year old man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with murder. However, a coroner's autopsy of the woman is pending to determine the actual cause of death.
